Last month we filmed a promotional music video to showcase Kaj as a wedding musician. It was an exciting day on location at Trevenna Barns and we were very fortunate to work with some great professionals in the Cornish Wedding Industry. We were also joined by a fantastic cast of people who turned up as 'wedding guests', and of course our 'bride' and 'groom' who played their parts perfectly! The video was filmed by the talented Tam Johnstone who is in the throws of completing the final edit which we will be sharing with you very soon. Here are some sneak peek photos of the day by photographer Khalile Siddiqui...
'So why not film at a real wedding?' is what we often get asked, but it's just not that simple. For starters, to create an interesting video you need to film the same shot from several different angles, and you can hardly ask the bride and groom to say their vows a few times over! Plus, you have sound and lighting issues and ultimately the day is about the bride and groom - not Kaj getting filmed! And lastly, not everyone at a real wedding wants to be in a video available in the public domain.

So, we thought we'd film a 'fake' wedding complete with a Ceremony, Drinks Reception and Evening Reception. There was a lot of organisation involved, but it was all worth it when it came to the day. Luckily for me I had some help from the ever efficient and creative wedding planner Jenny Wren. People were in great spirits (and downed a few!) and it became just like a real wedding. Everyone ate, drank, danced and forgot that they were acting, which is exactly what we wanted.
"I felt nervous at first but soon forgot the camera was there and just had a blast! I've been to Kaj's gigs before and this was no different - what you see in the video is all of us genuinely having a great day and enjoying his music!"

A 'behind the scenes' shot with myself and the glamourous Meg.
Myself and Kaj would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone involved in the shoot, especially Jonathan Rowe, owner of Trevenna Barns who has been incredibly generous and helpful, and Tam our videographer for working so hard! Stay tuned to see the results of the video soon!
